But this film gets really bogged down in Sam trying to find a job because his new girlfriend is very rich and she works for Patrick Demsy, who’s also very rich and likes to give her cars and expensive meals.

This is all stuff that nobody asked for. Those are the major issues in the first half of the movie. Sam trying to find a job; his girlfriend problem; Patrick Demsy making a love triangle; can he make enough money to support his girlfriend? And while the first half is dull, the second half is non stop action where the city of Chicago gets taken over by the Decepticons.

That’s when the movie finally picks up and we have a lot of Transformers awesomeness, and to be honest, that’s all we care about seeing. The visuals, the sound effects, and CGI are all that you’d expect from a Michael Bay movie.
