Does anybody know thing about this model?? I'm kinda new in the crossbow world, but I'm trying to learn. I was given this crossbow as a gift a couple of years ago. Be disable this is getting me back in the woods during bow season. So what arrows, lenght and nock should I be using?? I know this is a 150# draw crossbow so I picked up a few 20' 2219's, with 1/2 moon nocks at Gander Mnt, But to tell you the truth I'm not sure the kid knows anymore then I do about this crossbow. I also picked up a BSA Red dot sight, it didn't last three shots, before falling apart. So now I have a older rifle scope mounted on a 7/8 rail, which I also had to add to this crossbow.
When I got it from a friend, it didn't have any sights at all.:biggrinjester:A little help before something goes south, PLEASE. The 275-XB is an intermediate model made in the mid 1990's. 150#, wood stock, camo or laminated. It shoots a 20' 2219, 4-fletch, with the PSE Super Nock.If you use V-nocks, you are inviting disaster!

Also, three-fletch arrows will notgive the clearances needed for the trigger housing, the rest, nor the arrow-retainerrubber.You should go to Gander Mountain and rip arse! Start with the kid who sold you the arrows,Then, rip his manager for putting your bow in danger out of ignorance. Then go tothe store manager and rip him for overseeing such a motley crew.
Of course, you are justdealing with and enlarged version of Wal-Mart's sporting goods section, so don'texpect them to care. I've got two older bows that were originally ment to shoot 16' arrows.I've shot and do shoot 20' arrows from these two bows without problem. While neither are PSE, I'd bet that the bow won't care. The accuracy does not seem to be effected. Many swear by the flat nocks, I only use the moon nocks.
I feel they are a tiny bit safer as far as the string staying on the back of the arrow. Many will tell you that the moon style aren't as accurate. My shooting says that's not so. I have a few bad arrows to proove that. One arrow crashing into another gets expensive.Don't shoot more than one arrow into a single dot on your target.Be carefull with your rifle scope.
Mainly because it only has one sight line. I'd take the red dot back to G.M. And exchange it for another, maybe even another brand.Mike. Hello I found some info from Arrowhead in huntingPA.comOK it's the one pictured. There are no parts available for that bow. You can still get custom made strings and cables for it. The arrows need a special nock that is similar to a nock used on a compound bow only much larger.
They are difficult to find, but they are available. It will use a 2219 arrow with the special PSE nocks and you will need to measure from the trigger latch to the arrow rest, to get the proper length. The arrows take four vanes in a 4 fletch 75 degrees x 105 degrees pattern.
The arrow rests seem to wear out and there are no replacement parts. Most guys use whatever means available to get a rest on them. I've seen some with whisker type rests on them.I've shot a few of these.
They are a piece of history and fun to shoot. (just don't ruin any arrows, they are $$$) The downside is that they are also very loud. Seems like he Knows what he is talking about read a lot of good things about him on huntingPA.com.
