Music in the Garden Concert SeriesPull up your blanket or chair and enjoy the ambience of music, garden flora, and food during MSU’s outdoor concert series. Beal Botanical Garden plays host to select groups presented by the MSU College of Music.Featuring the works of Alfred Desenclos, Faustin & Maurice Jeanjean, Samuel Barber, and many more.The Viridian Saxophone Quartet, comprised of Michigan State University student members Casey Grev, Madeline Morizio, Kyle Landry, and Eric Troiano, was formed in 2015 with the goal of presenting exciting performances of new and standard works for saxophone quartet. They recently won the 2016 North American Saxophone Alliance Quartet competition held in Lubbock, Texas.
Members of the Viridian Quartet have also placed in many prestigious chamber competitions such as: MTNA Chamber Music Competition, Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, and Coleman Chamber Music Competition. The Viridian Quartet also maintains an active schedule of outreach workshops, giving recitals and masterclasses at many local high schools and universities.Event is free and open to the public. Beal Botanical Garden. Other partner organizations from MSU include Grand Parent’s University, the Office for International Students and Scholars, and the Eat At State Food Truck.
